 A good mix of projects

The ingredients and fresh produce segments are undoubtedly the most buoyant. Unsurprisingly the dairy-based sector, closely followed by bakery products, also play a huge part in the food and drink processing for the three countries.

The confectionery activity is rapidly growing whilst the booming brewery segment has fueled many of the investments in the drink sector:

  • 200 projects with a combined value of €5.44 billion
  • 47% of projects are about production capacity expansion plans
  • 39% of projects report on new production facilities
